K6-22. Energy Conversion - Immersion Heater
To demonstrate quantitatively the conversion of electrical energy into heat.
600ml glass beaker with 300ml water, 200 watt immersion heater, and digital thermometer.
About 300 ml of water is heated in a beaker with a 200-watt immersion heater. Measure the initial water temperature, let the water heat for a fixed time with the immersion heater, and measure the final water temperature. Good to about ten percent.
